Why did we stop questioning our reality? (Part 1) - Day 387

There is this video that is running around the net now - Vegan rainbow child, Luiz Antonio - how world is changing with new generations. I obviously have my doubts about the starting points of the people who are promoting this video and how come the mother decided to suddenly take a camera and start filming but, putting aside these doubts I do want to share my 2 cents regarding this video.

Within today blog, I will specifically talk about the Children ability to see what we, as adults, are not able to see and within that, why is it that children question their reality and do not simply accept what they have been told but rather keep and asking the question: "Why?".

Most people I know, get irritated at some stage when the child does not stop to constantly ask: "but why?" and they later define it as the "Terrible Two", hoping that it will fade away as soon as possible without realizing that what they are actually  wishing for is that the child start suppressing their natural ability to question reality and start "acting" like "normal" human beings from the perspective of accepting the system and submitting to its set of norms and values.

I mean, how many times have you heard parents answering the child's genuine question "Why?" with the words "just because" / "because! (with high pitch sound) / "because this is what it is" / "because this is how it works" and the most famous one: "Because I said so".

How many parents do you know that actually take the time to explain the child the exact mechanics, relationships and the time lines involves within the child's questions? How many parents actually considered the child's ability to understand a point so specifically despite of their young age and lack of experience in life?

How many parents justified for themselves that there is no point in explaining the nitty gritty details to the child because the child would not be able to comprehend it anyway?

So here is a child that had taken a moment to question the food he received on his plate. Now, I cannot tell whether the family had previously brainwashed the kid that one should not eat animals and this was just a show run where the child repeating the point that was already discussed at home but since I cannot confirm the point, let's give it the benefit of the doubt because at the end of the day, there is a distinctive pattern that we are able to identify, work with, correct and eventually prevent.

Back to the point - so the kid was questioning his food and started asking if the food that he has on his plate is in essence an animal that had head and legs before it manifested in the shape he sees in front of his eyes. And he moves with the point and suddenly realize that a lot of the food that people eat was previously a living animal that had legs and heads and accordingly, he decide to not eat this specific meal because from his perspective, animals should not be eaten but taken cared for.

Whether or not I agree to this conclusion will be discussed in blogs to come but for now, my focus is on the ability of a child to question their reality and yet, this ability gets lost as we grow up and since we "lost" our ability to question reality, we also didn't question why is it that we stopped questioning our value system, beliefs, opinions and so on as we grow in age.

Will continue with this in my next blog.

Dysfunctional Governmental Food Department - Jamie Oliver Food Revolution Review - Day 384

his is a continuation to the blog Series review about Jamie Oliver's TV series - Food Revolution.

Thus, if you haven't already, I suggest watching Jamie Oliver's TV series - Food Revolution and read through the blog series where the question: Who is Responsible for our Children's Education? is asked.

Within this blog I will be focusing on the fourth problem that I've identified when watching the Food Revolution series - Dysfunctional Governmental Food and Health Department

As we know, what the children eat at school is dependent on specific guideline written by the Governmental food department which for instance, considers Chips as Vegetable as well as mash potatoes made from already made processed powder. With such "specific" guidelines and standards, it is no wonder that so many children suffers from overweight.

The food department also worry about children not drinking milk and so, they supply them with sugar milk with added colors and flavour to ensure that they will drink the milk. They forgot to mention though, that the amount of sugar in one flavoured milk contain twice the amount of Soda drinks - lots of sugar.

In the Food Revolution TV series, Jamie found out that the school changed the agreement with him to stop giving the kids the flavoured milk that would slowly kill them but to instead to give them real milk. Interestingly enough, despite of the fact that on the day that the kids only had one choice of milk, they all drank the milk, the food department was worry about it so they instead decided to give them the flavoured milk. So even when the physical evidence showed that there is no real reason to be concerned, the flavoured milk was back on the menu.

So - what is really going on? Why the government forces the children to develop bad eating habits, become overweighed and eventually obese?

As I've mentioned in my previous blogs, if you trace the money path, you'll find the answers. The food companies sponsor our politicians and supply them with the money and in return, the politicians would align the guidelines that would benefit the big corporations. Is there any consideration regarding health and the well being of the people? No. not at all.

Fantastic documentaries showing the relationship between the corporations and politics are:

Park Avenue: money, power and the American dream - Why Poverty?

Koch Brothers Exposed

So - the answers to our problems are right in front of us - If we want to change things in this world, politics is the way to do it so all we need to do is to make sure that our power doesn't go to the wrong hands but to instead, place ourselves in political positions so that we can direct our future, a future that is best for all.

Finish Everything on your Plate! - Day 355

Continuing with the Question Who is Responsible for our Children's Education?

Recent research has shown the relationship between Child Obesity and Parents ever going request: "Finish every on your plate". (Source: Parents who tell children to finish everything on their plates are 'fuelling obesity').

So what do we teach our children? Are we teaching them that food cannot be wasted? Are we teaching them the value of food?  Are we teaching them that it is Bad to not finish everything that is on your plate? Are we teaching them that it is impolite to not finish the food? Are we teaching them that they must feel guilty if they do not finish their food? Do we really know what is it that we are teaching them and have we actually realized that we are teaching them something within every word we speak to them?

What parents do not understand is the relationship between the words they speak and the influence the words would have on their child. So here is a good example to show how Words are in essence create our world and how words would influence the child's future whether it is their effectiveness as human beings, their success in life, the quality of their life, the decisions they will make and now we can clearly see not only the consequences on their physical body but also, the physiological effect obesity for instance would create in the child's life.

So it is interesting that thus far, Obesity was mostly looked at from the perspective of the Corporation responsibility in terms of their misleading advertisement and the unsupportive nutrition added to food but in terms of the actual responsibility of the parents, not much was said or studied.

This is because the Natural learning ability was not understood and one of the human's tendency is to always shift responsibility rather than investigating all things and accordingly take self responsibility. It is thus important to study and understand the influence of words/vocabulary on the child and within that, why and how the child would develop their entire personality, the 'who they are' already in the first 7 years of their life through the words the parents speak, the association the child would create to these words, the energy experience within it and the memories of the events related to these words.

Within that, one would be able to start understanding what does Natural learning ability is, how to use it correctly and effectively to enhance the child natural skills instead of us as parents, having to deal with consequences.

More about Words and the child Natural learning ability can be investigated on EQAFE within the interview series: Parenting - Perfecting the human race.

Capitalism - The Joke is on us - Food Labeling - Day 323

Recently I started walking the Point of Education within the Current Capitalistic System and I started off with showing how we accept and allow the brainwash of ourselves and our children to become a possessed Consumer. Our acceptances and allowances is within the fact that we haven't stood up, investigated the consequences and outflows that emerged with the Consumerism phenomena and within that, the implications, both Physically and Mentally of the individual, when it comes to Marketing and Advertisements of 'Goods' in the various types of the Media channels.

Within this blog, I will be focusing on Food Labeling as I saw that it is one of the Concepts the Capitalistic System is meticulously avoiding within what I saw in the Capitalism.org website, questions and answers.

The Problem

Shouldn’t the government force private businesses to label what is done to food they sell, such as if the food is genetically altered?

In the present “organic” food movement (no “unnatural” chemicals) the organic growers have to lobby the government to define what the term “organic” means (I’ve read of complaints that the government is redefining it to something different from which those who market such foods intended).

However, in most supermarkets if you want “organic” we don’t label all “non-organic” foods as “non-organic”; we simply label the organic foods as “organic”.

This same principles governs the label of other kinds of foods.

The proper response to the genetically altered food issue is not to force anyone to label anything, but for some private label to label their foods “non-genetically altered”, and to define the rules that allow other food companies to use this term (and then to trademark the brand name so the government cannot takeover the term).

This private certification system will satisfy those who only wish to buy “non-genetically altered” foods, without placing a burden on those who wish to sell genetically altered foods. It will be up to the private label company to enforce the use of their “non-genetically altered” label/brand. This is sort of like the “Good Housekeeping” seal.

Those who are concerned about the “genetically-altered” issue can purchase these private label brands — those who don’t think it is a valid issue can purchase everything else (which will more then likely be cheaper). Anyone who sells genetically altered foods will not be able to use the “non-genetically altered” approval logo.

What we do not need, is the situation we have now: where the government decides by initiating force via mandatory labeling — as opposed to having consumers choose.

Again, what was fascinating is the deliberateness of avoiding the Question as the answer Focused on what would be Presented as 'Good' within the Human Consciousness/Mind. In the Question, the Genetic modification of Food labeling was just an example given to clarify the Question. In fact, the Question in itself reveal a concerning point that was obviously not addressed within the answer

Food Labeling, if was done correctly within the Principle of What is Best for all, would have consists of all the information required for the individual to make an informative decision regarding the food one feed one's body. However, at the moment, we have NO clue regarding the nutrition we feed our body with, we have NO clue if the information is correct and yet, we believe it is correct because we Trust the Justice System to protect us while forgetting all along the First Amendment of Freedom of Speech where the Corporations protect themselves with because there is no way one could prove the Harm caused to one's health by false labeling of food and without this proof, the Food Labeling, misguided as it can be, is protected by the First Amendment.

Those of us who are healthy, do not take into consideration the consequences of False/misguided Food Labeling however for those of us who are dependent on such information, it is a day to day living consequences they have to come to peace with because there is no one in this world system that protect them and take care of them. For instance, one that has Diabetes type 1 and must calculate each and every bite one intake into one's body as this bite will influence the amount of units of Insulin one would have to inject oneself with - when the Food labeling is incorrect or misguided, it can result with a life threatening situation/condition in a matter of no time. For more context, please read first hand experience of Diabetes Type 1 patient with regards to the misinformed labeling. http://adiabeticsjourneytolife.blogspot.ca/2013/03/day-2-should-we-trust-nutrition-labels.html

Furthermore, the current education system keeps the Humans so limited from the perspective of not teaching and guiding the humans with the necessary life skills that are required to support oneself and one's body and thus, despite of having Food labelling on most products, only a few individuals can actually understand what the information means and how to use the information to be able to support the body with the necessary body's requirement to function in its utmost supportive and effective way.

As I was showing in my Blog: The Evolution of the Capitalistic System as a Mirror of the Human Consciousness - Day 312, the tendency of those who in favour of the Capitalistic System is to always shift responsibility. Here we can see it again within the statement:

"What we do not need, is the situation we have now: where the government decides by initiating force via mandatory labeling — as opposed to having consumers choose."

Thus here, instead of the Corporation taking responsibility for what they produce and sell, the capitalistic Favourite approach is to shift the responsibility to the Consumer to Choose but the real question is - Choosing from WHAT? how can one make a real Free Choice if one do not have the information or the skills required to make a Free Choice? I mean, it is a simple 1+1 Common Sense Equation and yet, we accept and allow this type of manipulation because we haven't yet developed a reasoning thinking to actually question what the corporation feed us, both literally and as figure of speech.

Obviously, there are many Economical reasons for the Corporation to not provide with the correct information and if one investigate, one would see that again, the root/cause/source of the problem is always relates to Money, Profit and Greed on the Expense of the Individual.

The Solution

Informed Decision-Making

"Within Capitalism, the assumption  is made that the consumer always has full knowledge available about the products they can buy - and thus, that they are always able to make informed decisions about the purchases they make - and that this mechanism, therefore - makes it so that only the best quality products are bought and stimulated to be produced, while inferior products will phase out. Obviously - this is currently not the case. The only point that is shared (and not even that comprehensively) is the ingredients. Labeling within Equal Money Capitalism will include not only ingredients, but also how the price was established - who contributed to the production process, what share of the profit goes to these participants - what are the externalities involved in terms of the harm that was caused towards the environment in the form of pollution and what resources were involved to produce the product, etc."

Source: http://economistjourneytolife.blogspot.com/2012/12/day-162-equal-money-capitalism-way.html#.UT9VJ2eLuM8

To add - within the Education System we will learn applicable life skills and within that, will understand how to make informative decisions on the individual level of responsibility however, the corporation will be responsible for the release of information required for one to be able to make a responsible and informative Decision.

The Reward

For myself I have found that specific types of food do not support my physical body and it took me a while to isolate the points to be able  pinpoint which types of food isn't align with my body. With Informative labeling that are specific and detailed, I wouldn't have to walk a period of testing to figure out what is the source of my problems and I'm sure that many could relate to that.

With Skills to understand and calculate the ingredients and nutrition, one would be able to assess with great accuracy what would be best for one's body and our life style would change dramatically as so many of us won't walk around with uncomfortable feeling inside our body due to food consumption that was not supportive for our bodies.
