Investigating Sexual Expression - Self Commitments - Part 2 - Day 123

In my Previous blogs, I was looking at the Positive and Negative associations we have assigned to specific words in the Sexuality regime so to speak. The point that is still standing is how and why we have suppressed our sexuality; How and why we have all sorts of opinions about our sexuality; Where does it comes from? How does it manifest? How are we responsible for our own sexual suppression?

How many of us feels uncomfortable within and as ourselves when making love/sex/fucking our partner? How many of us would prefer having sex when the lights are out? How many of us would calculate and assess in which sexual position their body would look the best and accordingly create a preference of their favourite sexual positions? How many of us would try to avoid being naked in the presence of our partner?

According to a survey that was conducted on 2011 by Adult toy company Adam & Eve, 40% of 1000 participants prefer having sex when the light is off. What is interesting that those participant were clients of the sex toy company and have the tendency to feel more comfortable with sex.

In American Sex Survey conducted by ABC news, 51% of the woman prefer having sex with the light off while 21% of the men prefer having sex with the light off.

A global sex survey conducted by former Wimbledon ace Bjorn Borg's Swedish underwear firm, included Sweden, England, the U.S, Spain, Germany, Italy, France, Holland and China has revealed that 60% of the Britons are having sex with the light off while 63% of the Swedish are having sex with the light off. What was interested in this survey was that in Spain 44% only having sex with the light off which means that there are definitely environmental factors that influences one's perception and preference with regards to one's sexuality and within that, one's comfortability with one's sexuality.

Obviously, the surveys represent only the people that feels comfortable enough to even answer the questions and within that, we can conclude that the percentage of people that prefer having sex when the light it off is much grater than the result showing in the surveys above.

So again - Why and How we have become so shameful, embarrassed and uncomfortable with ourselves as our human physical body? Why is it that there is no trust and absolutely intimacy between the current relationship structures? When and How we have Lost ourselves to our mind to the extent of which we have completely separated ourselves from ourselves as our human physical body nevertheless, our partners?

Practical application as self investigation, support and correction will be coming in my next blogs.
